Terms of Service - Please Read ***Updated 8/23/2022***

Booking Terms

·         The Detail Center will not accept any liability for any loss or damage to any personal property including the vehicle being serviced, any belongings contained inside of the vehicle or to the location of service. Assure that your vehicle is being serviced in a lawful and safe area and if you feel otherwise please communicate your concerns with the technician.

·         All vehicles are cleaned at the customers own risk and must be able to withstand normal cleaning processes.

·         We cannot guarantee any firm times when accepting your booking.

·         Our detailing times are an estimate only. Each vehicle is different and may require more or less time to fulfill the detailing type

·         Whilst every effort will be made to keep scheduled bookings to the requested arrival window, unforeseen circumstances may cause lateness and are done so without voiding our cancellation policy.

·         We reserve the right to take a debit or credit card details to secure the booking. Debit/Credit cards shall be processed by Square.com

·         We reserve the right to alter or move a booking in line with staffing levels and/or weather conditions and /or machinery or equipment failure.

·         All vehicles are cleaned at the customers own risk

·         Service requests are not guaranteed at time of booking and may be cancelled at anytime at the sole discretion of The Detail Center. The Detail Center reserves the right to refuse service to anyone.

·         The Detail Center reserves the right to refuse or deny customer demands above and beyond the booked detailing

Pricing Terms & Conditions

·         The Detail Center reserve the right to charge an hourly rate of $75 (or proportion thereof) for any work that is not within the boundaries of the booking

·         A minimum 20% surcharge will be applied to all jobs that involve excessive pet hair, urine, vomit, blood, feces, or other hazardous materials.

·         Our prices are based on detailing type, type of car and condition of the vehicle and will be advertised as a FROM price.

·         The Detail Center reserves the right to charge each vehicle according to its condition and the type of vehicle.

·         The Detail Center reserves the right to amend any price during the detailing should it differ from the original estimate

 

Communications

·         The Detail Center will send you SMS text messages to confirm your service request, and to conduct a customer satisfaction survey after the job is completed. Depending on your mobile phone service, you may incur costs from these SMS text messages from your mobile phone service provider. The Detail Center is not responsible for any of these potential costs.

·         The Detail Center may call you directly to schedule your service or conduct a customer satisfaction survey. In the event of a canceled request, we may call you to inquire about your reasons for canceling.

·         All inbound and outbound customer service calls may be recorded for quality assurance.

Cancellation Terms & Conditions

·         We require 24 hours notice to cancel any booking/detailing service.

·         Failure to provide 24 hours advance notice of cancellation will result in a minimum charge of 50% to reschedule.

·         The Detail Center reserves the right to alter or amend a booking time/date without penalty but wherever possible will let the customer know.

·         The Detail Center reserves the right to alter a booking or move a booking in accordance to its staff levels, weather conditions and/or equipment failure without penalty to the company.

·         We will wait 15 minutes past your scheduled appointment time before cancelling the appointment and moving on with our next project.

Service Guarantee

·         If there is probable and clear cause that the service technician did not fulfill the package as ordered or there is clear evidence of poor craftsmanship, we will at our cost refund or redo the uncompleted or unsatisfactory portion of the service.

·         Cleaning or repairing the vehicle personally or professionally after the initial service without authorization from The Detail Center voids our Service Guarantee. Redos, refunds, or reimbursements will not be made after any unauthorized cleaning or repairs.

·         Refusing a redo appointment for the unsatisfactory portion of your service limits any refunds to 20% of the value of your service.

·         Failure to disclose at the time of booking any conditional issues that involve heavy stains, foul odors, human or animal biological waste, mold, mildew, chemical spills, chemical overspray or any other hazardous materials voids our service guarantee. No refunds, redos, or any additional work will be performed outside of the original package or estimate.

·         Some issues may require services beyond those you ordered. Refusing the services recommended by customer service or your on-site technician may invalidate the service guarantee.

·         Only services included in your order and additional services authorized by The Detail Center are covered under our service guarantee. Any services not authorized by The Detail Center are at customer's own risk.

·         Payment is due at the completion of your service. Refusal or failure to pay for your service invalidates our service guarantee and any redo services or discounts are at the sole discretion of The Detail Center

·         Any claims must be filed within 24 hours of the completion of the service by emailing (levidennis@thedetailcenterholland.com).

 

Item Removal

·         All personal items and large trash items are to be removed from the vehicle prior to dropping off.

·         All car seats and booster seats should be removed from vehicle.

·         Glove compartments and glove boxes with personal items will not be cleaned. We will clean around that area.

·         We are not responsible for lost items.

·         A minimum $25 fee will be added to jobs if the above is not satisfied.

 

Vehicle Integrity

·         Your vehicle is expected to withstand standard detailing practices like compressed air, vacuuming, and power washing.

·         The detail center is not responsible for damage to your vehicle from worn parts (Example: Late 2000’s GM vehicles with the radio/hvac controls that peel off or bubbling paint)

·         We will do our best to work around problem areas if these areas are brought to our attention prior to detailing

·         Doors will be open during the detailing process, The Detail Center is not responsible for discharged batteries. Please confirm after pick up all internal lights are in the off position.

 

Night Drop Off/Vehicle Pick Up

·         There is a night drop box for keys located on our main door.

·         Please park your vehicle in a DESIGNATED PARKING SPACE.

·         Do not block overhead doors (ours or Federated Parts).

·         Please park vehicle on the west side of the parking lot (Closer to Coolidge Ave)

·         Pick up is between 2pm and 4pm. We like to allow the vehicle to air out at much as possible before pick up.

·         Vehicles not picked up before end of business hours (4:30pm) will be available to pick up the following business day.

·         We will not wait around for you if you do not communicate with us.

 

Paint Protection Film

DRYING TIME
Your new paint protection film will take 3-4 weeks to fully cure depending on weather conditions. Do not wash the vehicle for 5 days. Wrapped vehicles should be back for an inspection within 2 weeks.

 AIR & TRAPPED SLIP SOLUTION
For a period of up to 2-4 weeks, you may find small air bubbles or trapped slip solution under your film. THIS IS NORMAL. It can take up to 2 weeks, or maybe even longer in some climates before they will disappear.

 CONDITION OF VEHICLE FOR PAINT PROTECTION FILM APPLICATION.
Vehicles cannot have any type of coatings on the finish. These can affect the effectiveness of eh adhesion and may cause lifting, bubbles, and other issues which are not covered under mfg. warranties. The client is aware that the design of the paint protection film is for OEM factory paint. The client waives and releases The Detail Center from any warranty or damage claims where a product has been applied to a non-OEM painted surface.

 PAINT
Paint may lift on repainted panel/OEM paint if improperly prepped and painted. By authorizing The Detail Center to proceed with the install, the client hereby acknowledges the risk, waives any claims against The Detail Center, and agrees that The Detail Center will not be liable in the event that damage does occur during the installation process.

 PAINT CHIPS
PPF is to prevent your vehicle from future paint chip damage. PPF installation over paint chips will look like contamination after the install due the unevenness of the paint surface. We do not recommend touch up on small paint chips due to the aesthetics of the install thereafter.

INSTALLATION
Some of our paint protection kits are computer cut using special cutting software. Precut kits involve stopping short of an edge, edges around badges, washers, and corners. The customer understands that the paint protection film is a sacrificial layer for your car and not a complete invisible layer. Customers may choose to have a custom design fit or bulk install for an additional fee.

 EXPOSED EDGES & SEAMS
Although we strive to wrap all edges, some cannot be wrapped. Debris build-up over time on exposed edges/seams will be more visible on white/light-colored vehicles. Partial installs will have more noticeable debris due to exposed edges. We recommend ceramic coating your vehicle to reduce debris build-up. There is no warranty or reapplication of Film due to debris build-up

 HEADLIGHTS
Headlights are not recommended for paint protection film due to HID features and some exterior coatings on the lens themselves. By authorizing The Detail Center to proceed with the headlight film application, customers hereby acknowledge the risk and waive any claims against The Detail Center and agree to hold The Detail Center harmless in the event that damage does occur during the installation process.

BADGE & EMBLEMS
Film, badge, and decal removal may cause the paint, glass, and defroster to be damaged. By authorizing The Detail Center to proceed with the removal, the client hereby acknowledges the risk, waives any claims against The Detail Center, and agrees that The Detail Center will not be liable in the event that damage does occur during the removal process.

 PAINT PROTECTION FILM REMOVAL
Paint Protection Film removal may cause damage to the paint. By authorizing The Detail Center to proceed with the removal, the customer hereby acknowledges the risk and waives any claims against The Detail Center and agrees to hold The Detail Center harmless in the event that damage does occur during the removal process.
Old Paint Protection Film can pull paint – even if it’s not that old. Be aware – if we remove PPF from your vehicle, we will NOT be held responsible if the paint lifts off the car. The risk is generally low because of the process but it can still happen!

 IMPERFECTIONS 

Although we strive for perfection in our installations, due to the nature of this product, some degree of dust contamination and or minor imperfections are present in every Paint Protection Film application. Also, Pre-existing flaws, such as scratches, rock chips, debris in the paint, debris in the clear coat, misaligned body panels, and sanding marks are much more noticeable after the paint protection film is applied. Paint Protection Film will have minor imperfections such as slight orange peel and may also include other MFG defects from. Vehicles with 200 or more miles may have more imperfections due to mileage and use.
Some vehicles may experience adhesive marks or “silvering” where the adhesive under the film is disturbed during high amounts of stretching. Sometimes these are unavoidable.

 DEFECTS
If your vehicle has surface imperfections such as rock chips, scratches or other paint defects – PPF may magnify these defects. Vehicles with touch-up paint applied will still have small air pockets surrounding deeply chipped paint. PPF reinstallation or removal will not be covered due to the magnification of defects. REMEMBER – PPF IS NOT ABOUT PERFECTION BUT ABOUT PROTECTION. We always strive for a seamless, bubble, and contaminant-free install but rest assured, some will slip by.

 PRESSURE WASHER:
You must keep pressure washers AWAY from the PPF areas on the car. A pressure washer WILL lift the film off of the vehicle and cause bubbling and peeling. You must keep the pressure washer a MINIMUM of 14″ off of the vehicle. The use of a pressure washer is indicative of a large expansion of film and is immediately noticeable by our inspection team.

 EXPOSED EDGES
If you have a light colored vehicle and are having PPF installed that does not come to an edge, such as a rocker panel, lower door or a partial hood/fender install you will, over time, have issues with dirt collecting on the edge of the film. This is simply due to the nature of PPF and the adhesive under the film. The adhesive under the film is also present on the edges of film. This will collect dirt over time and eventually be unable to be kept clean. This is why we always recommend the wrapping of the entire panel.

 WARRANTIES
Stek USA LLC  warrants that for 10 years the DynoSheild paint protection film,
installed on clear-coated car panels, is free of manufacturers defects and protection against yellowing from dirt and chemicals, yellowing from UV and at a rate faster than ∆Yi 2 per 1000 hours, bubbling, staining and cracking or any material failure. The warranty excludes damage caused by normal wear and tear, misuse, accidents or misapplication. The STEK USA LLC  warranty is valid for ten (10)  years from the date of purchase.
